Welcome! It's an honor to have caught your attention. I'm a creator that loves capturing energetic and unconventional ideas and forming them into engaging visual illustrations. My multi-disciplined approach to life has earned me experiences and skills that boost my adaptability in matters of artistry, narrative, and technology. I work predominantly with Adobe CC apps and traditional drawing and painting mediums. I have experience with coding, web design, and animation as well.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Angella Kilabo is a Chicago-based illustrator with a passion for the bold, the complex, and the energetic. An enthusiastic learner at heart, Kilabo studied art at length at Harper College, CG Master Academy, and graduated with a B.F.A in Illustration summa cum laude from Northern Illinois University in the fall of 2021.

Kilabo’s first artistic expressions were conveyed through crayons, markers, and paint smeared across the pristine white walls of her childhood home. Over time, Kilabo advanced to pencils, inks, acrylics, and digital programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and ZBrush.

Kilabo works in a striking combination of the illustrative, figurative, graphical, and geometric. With a love for line-work, high contrast, and illustrated typography, Kilabo dynamically experiments with the fictional and the decorative.
